July is almost over! Having set my creative goals for the second quarter, it is time for a report on how I did and to set my goals for quarter three. Thank you to everyone who has kept me on point by asking how I was progressing and also to those who shared their creative goals with me. Your personal push is inspirational!
Did I accomplish all that I wanted…?
Continuum Universe The New Age is rolling along perfectly! I wanted to have 18 chapters written by now and mission accomplished! All the major players have been introduced, we are in full swing with the war against Mistress, and flashbacks have begun to tie together the previously published material and The New Age, which is set three years after that.
Remnants…might have been a little lofty. With the first draft of my collaborative graphic novel completed, I wanted to have a final draft ready. I didn’t touch the project at all. I am sure I can come up with some great excuses, but the fact of the matter is that those would amount to Jack. :(
My choose your own adventure? Two out of three failures. I did not dust it off and begin again. I was only going to do that once I had finished Remnants. and we saw how that went. :(
Not the second quarter I would have liked, but that means it’s only up from here. Let’s plan some goals for the third quarter.
Continuum Universe The New Age, as always, takes first place for my next quarter. I have an amazing artist who is plugging along, and I’d like to have the script completed far in advance of his art. I will dedicate myself to having six more chapters written, bringing my total to 24.
Rolly & Dylan are coming back! Volume 3 is underway and I would like to have it completed in quarter three. That means art, edits, and printing. This one is about taking care of a pug. SO much goes into maintaining a healthy pug, and I don’t think people really understand how difficult this breed is.
Remnants will stay on the list, but the top two are my focus. After last quarter I need to reassess my expectations. I would very much like to get to this again, but I will use it as bait to finish the above two.
